Liberty Jail

Liberty, MO is only three hours from where Myriam lives in Arkansas.  We decided to rent a 15 passenger van and take a day trip to see Liberty Jail. 

I love visiting Church history sites.  It was a wonderful experience to be in the place where Joseph Smith received such a powerful revelation, though he and his companions endured so much during their time there.

 

In one of the visitor centers there is a play area with a horse and wagon, log cabin, chicken coop and even a well.  The kids loved it.  They didn't want to leave.  I literally had to drag Eloise away from it.

She wanted everyone to come into the cabin.  She would sit you down and cook you a meal.  Such the hostess!

On the way back the sweetest thing happened.  All on their own Davis and Eloise held hands.

I was the only one who had never been so it was really sweet of everyone to take me on this mini trek.
