We were able to take a trip to Florida this Memorial Day weekend. It was an extra special weekend for our family. My sweet niece Addison was baptized. We've missed so many special events I was so happy we could make this one!
It was a fun surprise to find the blueberries were ready to be picked. These bushes have been in my Granny's yard since I was young. It was fun seeing my children have fun picking berries like I did so long ago!
The kids had lots of time in Aunt Staci's pool. Emery was so brave floating around the pool. Eloise of course was all over the place! She was jumping in and trying to keep up with her cousins. She really needs to learn to swim without her water wings.
Addison also had her birthday party this weekend. It was a really cute Alice in Wonderland theme. Eloise had fun painting bottles, playing croquet and hanging out with Alice and the Mad Hatter.
Our last night in Macclenny was spent around a bonfire in the Padgett's backyard. It was so much fun toasting marshmallows and making s'mores. The older kids started telling yo mamma jokes and pick-up lines sometime during the night. It was so funny hearing them get the jokes wrong.
The
best laughs came when Keaton told the joke "yo mammas so fat she got
baptized at Sea World." We were starting to laugh at it when Chapman,
who was sitting on his moms lap said "that's right!" Oh it was so
funny!! We could not stop laughing! He meant Keaton got the joke right
but how and when he said it was hilarious!
We
all cracked up with one of Carson's pick-up lines. He said "if I could
change the alphabet I'd put u and i together." Bryn came right back with
"that's why n and o are together." Carson's reaction was so funny. He
said "dang that's good!" Then he started saying the alphabet to see if
she was really right and dang that is good again. It was so funny!
I love those kids. It's so much fun being their aunt!
We stopped by to see Granny and Grandpa Ramsey on our way home. We don't get by to see them near enough! It was so nice to visit with them. Glen's sister Liz and sister-in-law Misty came with their children too. The kids had a blast and we got to meet Benjamin!
It was a fun Memorial Day weekend. I'm so glad we were able to be with family!
